OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Must be 18 years or older to participate

2.   Promotion Dates:

 a) Thursday, March 8, 2012 5pm-8pm: Tryouts Week 1

                  b) Thursday, March 15, 2012 6pm-8pm: Week 2

                              (20 contestants perform, 5 eliminated)

                  c) Thursday, March 22, 2012 6pm-8pm: Week 3

                              (15 contestants perform, 5 eliminated)

                  d) Thursday, March 29, 2012 6pm-8pm: Week 4

                              (10 contestants perform, 5 eliminated)

e) Thursday April 5, 2012 6pm-8pm Week 5

                               (Final 5 contestants perform)

                  f) Friday, April 20, 2012 6pm-8pm: Week 6

                                    (Final 5 contestants perform, winners announced)

3. On March 8, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm, contestants can tryout for the “Rockokie” karaoke contest. Contestants will sing a song of their choice. Three judges, chosen by the Vernon Downs marketing department will select the top twenty (20) contestants to participate in the remainder of the contest.

4. The contest will begin Thursday, March 15, 2012 and will run as follows:

1. Each week, contestants will choose a song to sing accompanied by the    live rock band Billionaires. At the conclusion of the contestant’s performance, three judges will critique the performance.

2. Each of the remaining contestants will perform their chosen song and hear the judge’s critique. At the end of all performances, audience members will vote using a voting sheet supplied by Vernon Downs Marketing team. These votes and the votes of the judges will determine who will advance in the competition. The five contestants receiving the lowest average votes from the audience and judges will be eliminated. Management will calculate the average score from the audience votes and then the 3 judges scores to determine who moves on in the competition. In the event of a tie, the judges voting sheets will be used to determine the contestant who is eliminated. For example: If more than one contestant is tied the total of the 3 judge’s scores will determine who moves on. If a there a tie after that, it will be left to judge’s discretion.

3. On April 5, 2012 the final five contestants will perform and the judges will critique. No one will be eliminated. The audience and judges scores will determine the order in which the top five prizes will be awarded with the contestant with the highest average score receiving first place, the second highest average score receiving second place, etc. In the event of a tie, the judges voting sheets will determine the order of contestants; if a tie still remains it will be left to judge’s discretion. The final 5 contestants will perform one last time on April 20, 2012. At the conclusion of the performances the results will be announced with the following prizes awarded:

1. First place: $3,000 cash
2. Second place: $1,000 cash
3. Third place: $500 cash
4. Fourth place: $300 cash
5. Fifth place: $100 cash

5. All decisions of the judges are final.

6. Prizes are non transferrable.

7. Winners must be present to win.

By participating in the promotion, each participant agrees to and acknowledges that they will abide by the official rules, regulations and procedures of the promotion. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the Club Member.  Each winner shall hold harmless Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs, and any affiliated company, the State of New York, and any agents, officers, employees against any damage, loss, claim or liability arising from participation in this promotion.  Each prize winner grants the right to use their name, city of residence, and photograph in order to publicize their winnings.  Street address and phone numbers will not be released for publicity.  Management reserves the right to cancel, change or modify the promotion without notice.  In the event of a dispute, decisions of management will be final.

Employees of Vernon Downs, Tioga Downs, New York Lottery, Bally Technologies, Spielo, IGT, SDG and/or Multimedia Games and/or any subsidiaries or affiliates, their spouses, siblings, children and/or other dependents living in the same residence are not eligible to win. Offer void where prohibited or restricted.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE STANDARD CONTEST RULES FOR WXUR, 92.7 FM, THE DRIVE.  ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST AGREE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES.  ANY ENTRY WILL CONSENT TO THESE RULES.  THOSE 18 YEARS OR OLDER ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENTER AND WIN UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN THE CONTEST RULES SPECIFIC TO THAT CONTEST.  ALL ENTRANTS MUST RESIDE WITHIN A 90 MILE RADIUS OF WXUR STUDIOS ON GENESEE ST. UTICA, NEW YORK.  EMPLOYEES AND RELATIVES OF EMPLOYEES OF THE RADIO STATION, PARTICIPATING SPONSORS AND OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS AND  ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE.  THERE IS TO BE ONLY ONE WINNER, CASH OR NON CASH PRIZE, EVERY 60 DAYS.  ANY LOCAL, STATE OR FEDERAL TAXES DUE ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER ON PRIZES WORTH $600.00 OR MORE.  THERE IS NO CASH EQUIVALENT OR TRANSFERRING OF PRIZES.  ONLY THE PRIZE WON CAN BE CLAIMED.   THE RADIO STATION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DIFFICULTY IN COMMUNICATION WITH THE RADIO STATION BY TELEPHONE OR ANY OTHER MEANS.  CONTEST WINNERS AND ENTRANTS AGREE TO LET THEIR NAME AND VOICE BE USED BY WXUR IN BROADCAST AND PRINT.   FOR A COMPLETE SET OF RULES TO A SPECIFIC CONTEST, SEND A REQUEST FOR THE RULES WITH THE CONTEST NAME OR A DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIZE BEING OFFERED WITH A SELF- ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE TO WXUR, SUITE 205, UTICA, NY, 13501.   RULES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AT WXUR STUDIOS, 1900 GENESEE ST, NY WEEKDAYS FROM 9 A.M.
